Coaching Accolades:

• Coached at BHS from 1908 to 1942 and then one season later (1945)
• Built the foundation for state’s winningest all-time team
• Won six early CIF state titles (no games from 1927 to 2006)
• CIF counts a seventh when it declared 1916 team was champion (no game played vs San Diego)Cal-Hi Sports doesn’t count it
• Career record 207-50-27
• Four straight state titles 1920 to 1923
• Griffith Field home of Drillers for decades
