• Still one of the greatest ever little guy QBs (only 5-7 or 5-8)

During college:

• Led Pacific to 11-0 record in 1949 and led NCAA in total offense
• Charter member of Sac-Joaquin Section Hall of Fame (for high school)
• College Football Hall of Fame

Post-college:

• 11 years in NFL with 13,000 yds; Washington Redskins & Dallas Cowboys
