Accomplishments
During High School:
- Considered best player as sophomore and listed as State Player of Year for 1916 at San Diego High
- SD also was State Team of Year
- Moved to Oakland for what was believed to be to follow head coach Nibs Price to Cal (five others from SD High’s 1916 team also went to Cal)
- At Tech, Muller was standout in three sports (fb, bb & track)
Post-high school:
- Just one year after high school, Muller went to Olympics in Belgium and won silver medal in high jump
- Returned to Cal and led so called “Wonder Team” to national title
- In 1921 Rose Bowl Muller had two interceptions, three recovered fumbles, caught five passes and completed three in 28-0 win vs Ohio State
Post-college:
- Later became battlefield doctor in WW II
- US Olympic doctor in 1956
- Possibly QB or End for position
