• All-American in high school with school records that lasted 25 years
• Won CIF state shot put title in 1969 with mark of 61-2

During college:

• All-American at USC
• Four TDs in the Rose Bowl

• 10 years New England Patriots
• College FB Hall of Fame
• NE Patriots Hall of Fame
